When it comes to subcompact SUVs, there is so much to love. Not only do they give you supreme efficiency while still boasting notable performance and capabilities, but they also give you versatile space for your gear.
However, due to their popularity, there are many subcompact SUVs to choose from. Today, we’re comparing one of the most popular subcompact SUVs—the Mazda CX-3—to the Honda HR-V so you can see where it shines.
Added Convenience
While both SUVs offer impressive technology, the 2021 Mazda CX-3 includes more amenities for less money. For example, the base Mazda CX-3 Sport comes standard with automatic climate control, push-button start, and voice recognition, but these features are only available in higher trim levels of the Honda HR-V.
Superior Technology
Technology is also superior in the Mazda CX-3. It comes standard with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration, which is only available in upper trim levels of the Honda HR-V.
As a bonus, the Mazda CX-3 also comes standard with a seven-inch touchscreen and six-speaker stereo system, while the Honda HR-V only has a five-inch display and a four-speaker stereo.
Better Performance
When it comes to performance, the Mazda CX-3 comes out on top. It is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces up to 148 horsepower and 146 lb-ft of torque. The 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine in the Honda HR-V falls just short of these numbers, generating 141 horsepower and 127 lb-ft of torque. Not only does that give the Mazda CX-3 more power, but better acceleration and handling, too.
