The 2021 Mazda CX-30 and the 2021 Kia Soul both yield different engine outputs. Our new Mazda model comes with a standard Skyactiv®-G engine that creates 186 horsepower, but you have the option to upgrade to a 227-horsepower variant. The Kia Soul, on the other hand, sports a 2.0-liter engine that only generates 147 horsepower, with only a 201-horsepower upgrade available.   

For more horsepower and athletic handling on the road, the new Mazda CX-30 may better align with your performance expectations.   

Technology  

The 2021 Kia Soul comes with an affordable price tag, but it doesn't offer nearly as many tech features as the 2021 Mazda CX-30. With the Mazda CX-30, you'll get to take advantage of an 8.8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration, a Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth® connectivity, and HD radio.   

By contrast, the new Kia Soul only comes with a seven-inch touchscreen, some smartphone capabilities, and Bluetooth® connectivity.   

Safety

Both the Mazda CX-30 and the Kia Soul offer fantastic safety gear, but our Mazda SUV has a much meatier list.
