1989 – 1997
The Mazda MX-5 Miata was actually created as a concept in the late 1970s by a man named Bob Hall. However, it took about 10 years for production to begin. The Mazda MX-5 Miata made its debut at the Chicago Auto Show in 1989, and it has maintained its popularity since then.
1998 – 2005
The second generation of the Mazda MX-5 Miata was released in 1998, and one of the most notable changes concerned the headlights. Due to new laws regarding pedestrian safety, the retractable headlights had to be altered.
