Lease agreement.jpgLeasing a Mazda car is a great option for many people because it offers a lot of flexibility and is less expensive than financing. Plus, with a short-term Mazda lease, you aren’t tied to a vehicle for very long. But, if you’re not happy with your lease for whatever reason, you can get out of it, and here Patrick Mazda goes over your three options.

Early Termination

While a lease is a binding contract, you can choose to terminate it early. There are some caveats to think about, however. First of all, you may still be on the hook for the remaining lease payments. In addition, there will be an early termination fee that could be quite steep.

Lease Transfer

Another option is to find somebody to take the lease over for you. If you have a friend or family member willing to do this, this could be a win-win for both you and them. This will involve a transfer fee, so you should inquire as to what this is before proceeding.

Buy the Vehicle

If you want to own your car or lower your monthly payments, taking the early buyout may be a smart move. When you do this, you will apply for financing and then pay off the vehicle over time. If you choose a long loan term, this enables you to spread out your payments, which could lower your monthly costs.
