Mazda CX-5 vs. Audi Q3 and Q5
The CX-5 offers two engine options: a 2.5-liter Skyactiv-G producing 187 horsepower and 186 pounds of torque, and a turbocharged variant delivering 227 horsepower and 310 pounds of torque. The Audi Q3 features a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with 228 horsepower, while the Q5 offers 261 horsepower.
The CX-5 features a 10.25-inch center display with Mazda Connect, controlled via a rotary commander dial. Standard features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a 10-speaker audio system. Available upgrades include a 12-speaker Bose system, navigation, and a full-color head-up display. The Audi Q3 and Q5 offer the MMI touch system with a 10.1-inch display, Virtual Cockpit digital gauges, and available Bang & Olufsen audio.
Mazda's i-Activsense suite includes Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Lane-Keep Assist System, Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Smart Brake Support with Collision Warning, and Traffic Sign Recognition. These features come standard, while Audi packages similar systems (Pre Sense, Side Assist, Active Lane Assist) in optional convenience packages.
The CX-5 Signature trim features Caturra Brown or Parchment Nappa leather, genuine layered wood trim, ambient LED lighting, and a color head-up display. The dashboard uses soft-touch materials with double-stitched padding. Audi models feature leather seating surfaces, aluminum or wood inlays, and ambient lighting packages, though many of these elements require additional options.
